My brother and me are developing a habit of hiking together once a year, for one week. This year we picked the GR20 located on Corsica. It's supposed to be one of the more strenuous official hikes of Europe. Since hiking the whole trail would take about 2-3 weeks, depending on fitness, we decided to only do a few days right in the middle, high alpine terrain with beautiful vistas. We discussed it in length and decided to leave from Vizzavona, going north. As far as we could get. The hardest passage of the whole trail is located within reach and was supposed to be our golden part of the tour. The plan was altered by the weather, unfortunately. We had to abort the trip due to strong winds, rain and very low visibility above 1800 m. So here I present pictures from 2 days of going up and one day of going down - and then hitting the beautiful beaches of Corsica.
